Experience

We have gained extensive experience of acting in personal injury and clinical negligence claims since 1989, having prepared in excess of 1,500 reports in that period. Our team of experts have experience of giving evidence in Court. Our principal expert is a member of The Academy of Experts and has an entry in APIL’s expert database. We have acted in cases ranging from claims for just a few thousand pounds to multi-million pound settlements. This includes high profile cases such as a victim of the Piper Alpha disaster, class actions such as ‘Myodil’ claims and acting in a clinical negligence matter involving a brain damaged child, which settled in later 1998 for what was, at that time, a record level of damages. We have also acted for both Claimants and Defendants in a number of mesothelioma cases.

Our clients/mix of work

We have acted for more than 500 firms of solicitors throughout the country and most of the major insurers. Our work is relatively evenly divided between Claimant and Defendant work, although we also act in a Single Joint Expert capacity. Consequently, we do not consider that we have a reputation as being either Claimant of Defendant orientated.
